  • Street Music in Cuba: An Explosion of Rhythms and Colors

In Cuba, music is not just a passion, it is a way of life. In the streets of cities like Havana, Santiago de Cuba or Trinidad, the captivating sounds of Cuban music resonate on every street corner. Whether it is the sound of congas, guitars, trumpets or maracas, each note is full of history, tradition and emotion. Street music in Cuba is a true institution. It is a reflection of the cultural diversity and musical heritage deeply rooted in the island. Afro-Cuban rhythms, Spanish melodies and jazz influences blend to create a unique and captivating sound. One of the most remarkable characteristics of Cuban street music is its spontaneity. You can stroll the cobblestone streets of Havana and be greeted by a group of musicians improvising a wild rumba or a lively salsa. Cubans have an innate talent for music, and even those without access to sophisticated instruments find a way to create melodies using everyday objects like plastic bottles, tin cans or wooden spoons. drink. Street music is also a way for Cubans to earn a living. Many musicians spend hours playing on busy streets, hoping to attract the attention of passersby and earn a few pesos in exchange for their talent. For many, it's a question of survival, but it's also a way to share their passion with the world. But street music in Cuba goes well beyond simple artistic performance. It is an essential part of Cuban culture, a way to celebrate life, overcome difficulties and bring people together. The streets of Cuba are filled with music, dance and joy, creating a vibrant and electric atmosphere that enchants visitors from around the world. In conclusion, street music in Cuba is much more than just a musical performance. It is a symbol of the Cuban soul, its passion for music and its resilience in the face of adversity. Whether you're an island local or an awed traveler, one thing's for sure: Cuban street music will stay with you long after the last notes have faded into the warm Caribbean air. • Private guides for Havana

Why choose a private guide for an excursion in Havana? A private guide will adapt the excursion schedule to your needs and interests. Are you more interested in government buildings relics of the influence of the former USSR? He will do a tour which will allow you to see some and will be able to give you a wealth of information on the subject. Would you rather discover Hewingway’s Old Havana? He will adapt the route! How much does it cost ? You should plan on around $120 for a day (approximately 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.). This includes the car (opt for an air-conditioned car), driver and guide. You will have to pay for your meal and that of the guide. It is also appropriate to tip if you are satisfied. If you are a group of 3 or 4 people, it is definitely worth it! Where to find a good guide?
